@AwfullyClever As a person who studies advertising and designs for it, i can tell you that the point of advertising is to make you remember what is being sold. Even if the commercial involved 2 old ladies making crude Betty White humor pulling away in an Acura NSX your still going to remember the car because the commercial was so memorable. Oscardriver has a point too, because you have the association between Leno and Seinfeld in there too; 2 big car buffs, the car will sell.
