Thats URETHANE.And this is the ONLY part that isnt SMC or Carbon Fibre.So yeah…
If 1 urethane piece makes the whole car plastic…thats great.Too bad Lambos and Ferraris are plastic as well :/ Too bad they cost north of $200,000 each…

They are, in fact, made of plastic.
By the way, Carbon Fiber is reinforced plastic. That’s what Lambo uses. Read about the Sesto Elemento.

SMC is also used @ Lambo’s too….does that make them plastic as well?

@SPMNDK89 Are you kidding me? Read the top comment. The exotic cars have shoddy interiors when you start getting into the big leagues. This Corvette is in the big leagues of performance AND it has a luxurious interior. Lambos and Ferraris start to lack good features like built in touch-screen GPS nav, heated seats, upgrades audio, and all the nice stuff. This ZR1 matches their performance, AND keeps the good stuff inside.

what i love about this commercial is that its true not like the fucking retards at Cadillac “what if we were to say that ferrari uses our suspension system? well they do” get the fuck out of here caddy. and i agree with whothaplaya, service bills for corvettes are half the price of a service bill for the cheapest ferrari.

You do get what you pay for though, although a ZR1 can hang with exotics, they have one of the worst interiors in its segment. But if Chevy say offers sport bucket seats as an option like those found in Callaway tuned vettes, then all will be forgiven.

i like all the cars (except porche, how they stay competitive is a feat of reality if you ask me) but personally of all the cars that race in this series, id choose the ZR1. because its made in my own continent(from canada so its not my country) they are beautiful for what you pay. they are world known…and they do have a long history that has built itself since the early 50s. id love any of the cars it races…..but id choose a ZR1 first if i had the option…and thats MY option
