@ssbalt06 -And one more thing FORD DID NOT QUIT MAKING THEM. the 7.3l was made by NAVISTAR INTERNATIONAL. The reason why Ford stop puttin them in was because Navistar International could not meet emission standers that was needed by law. The 6.0 is long gone and now the new 6.7l (is made by Ford) is more powerful than the 7.3l. 15 YEARS AS A FORD TECH AND WORKED ON MORE CHEVYS/GMC ON USED LOT THAN ANYTHING;)

@ssbalt06 -The cylinder head layout, turbocharger design, and cooling system should help to nearly eliminate all of the common “down sides” associated with diesel engines, and the overall construction of the new 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel is intended to cut down on engine noise. The 6.7L “Scorpion” could prove to not only be a great engine for the heavy duty “work trucks”, but with a diesel option still expected for the 2011 F150

@ssbalt06 -The new 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel (PSD) is expected to greatly outperform its predecessors thanks to a unique new cylinder head design and Ford’s new single sequential turbocharger. Both of these items help to increase horsepower and torque, while lowering both engine emissions and the “lag” often associated with turbocharged engines.

@duesenberg1932 not hardly. The s10/sonoma was the best daily driver truck ever made. They got good gas mileage and could tow/haul anything the average man wanted. My 93 sonoma gets 30 mpg going 75 mph. And if you wanted a v8 swap is so easy. And EVERYBODY knows that the chevy 350 is the best engine ever made.

@1219548tom that just goes to show you how damn stupid ford is. ill agree the 7.3 was a hell of a motor but they quit makimg it for the 6.0? dumbasses i havent found many ford lovers thag like that motor. the new duramax is the way to go and the allison is bullet proof. people want to buy your truck bc its the last of a dying breed. your “decent” ford trucks are gone. now they build junk.

@counterclockwise123 bull shit had a 68 c10 with a 400 small block, witha sagg 4 speed trans, it was used to haul hay n farm stuff and it out ran a fierro in a 1/4. it also beat every ford it went up against, we nick named it the ford killer. 3rd gear it would still spin on the go. i dont see ford come out with any super trucks like that. that failure of a vehicle the f150 lightning, yeh it killed one of them to!

@ironoutlaw777 Henry Ford did not make the first car or car company. He created a more effient assembly line. Gottlieb Daimler, Karl Benz, Ransom Eli Olds, Charles and Frank Duryea are just a few characters that were fiddling around with the “horseless carriage” and selling cars before the Ford company existed. If you look into it, you will also find the electric is about a hundred and ten year old proven idea. If you go further, you will find steam carriages before they made railways.
