January 3rd, 2012 - 17:21A lot of people miss the point of these commercials. The cars with fancy commercials trying to make it look sexy, or rugged, or whatever are not really special. Toyota is being honest, and poking fun at advertising. That’s something that will bring in the ‘nerdy’ demographic today, which are the people who have the money. (the spinning rims and racing stripes crowd don’t have jobs)

@TCoops that’s the idea, toyota made this ad. not to make the yaris look like one of these super -duper-multifunctional-futuristic cars… it was made for the people to see, that it’s just a car, with some goodies, but not exeeding the “useless” spot.
and as you said, the message u got is right… “Hey, it’s just a car, nothing special, it has got wheels, an usb port and automatic windows, standard. “Yeahh… funny, but it doesn’t really advertise the car very well at all.. It’s like “Hey its just a car.. nuthin special.. Its got wheels..”…
