@215alessio Don’t really have that too much to spend and come to think of it even 1.6 is much more than I want, not to mention the £112 tax. I had my eye on a 1.3 SPI engine from a Polo G40 because that apparently can be used in a Golf Mk2 without changing the drive shafts and gearbox. The Polo G40 has the 020 4+E gearbox anyway.

@zeetek007 Trust me the 1.9 TDI 90HP from the golf mk3 is a similar block like the 1.6TDI 72 HP of the Golf 2.
if you do that take also the gearbox of the 1.9TDI
but you have to change also the drive shafts from the weels to the gearbox
and many other things
@215alessio I didn’t know you lived in Belgium cos then I obviously wouldn’t of asked. Actually that was my first choice but I’m not too sure anymore. It’s a bit too big. My current one is a 1.3 Carb and even that already costs me £1200+.
@zeetek007 I have a better Idea: usa a 1.9 TDi 90 hp from a golf mk3 and bult it in a golf mk2
you’re gonna love it! It’s the same block only with 15 Hp more and a mountain of torque more in the lower rpm regime
the car was much better than this boring commercial. I had a GTD
I miss my GTD
Rest in peace lady, I still got the GTD engine completely and I will rebuld you
Strangely enough my mate is 6,6ft and whilst he can drive my mk2 Golf no problem his legs smack off the lower dash in my Discovery! I see your point though as a big guy does look a bit daft in a Golf.
Chuck Norris put a million on black. and it came up with black.

@zeetek007 Nice figures even if the torque is on the low side it will perform well on a 870KG car
December 24th, 2011 - 07:39
@215alessio 114hp 148nm Torque
December 24th, 2011 - 07:39
