@montyw47 This isn’t based of 48 states. The State that is the farthest East, West and North is Alaska. You’re all wrong. Pochnoi Point, Semisopochnoi Island, Alaska is the most Eastern you can get. They see the first Sunrise and the first of the new year.

I wish they would research this before doing the commercial. but at least they didn’t say where the easternmost point was. So they only got one thing wrong — yes the lighthouse is white with red rings…..and is the easternmost point in the United States.

The eastern most point is in Maine and the light house has ring of red and white with a black lantern. But at beginning of commercial the light house body is white. West Quoddy Head (44°49′ north latitude, 66°57′ west longitude) in Lubec, Maine is the easternmost point in the 48 contiguous states of the United States.
