NEW Aston Martin CYGNET – the most controversial car of 2010?

Hello everyone! This is my 300th video (yay!), and maybe the last one I'll upload in 2010, until 2011 and many many more! Considering it's somewhat of a special video, I chose a somewhat special car : the new Aston Martin CYGNET. Many rumours around that car. What was thought to be available only to the One-77's owners is actually free to be bought by pretty much everyone who wants one. As far as looks are concerned, I think it really looks like a SMART car : nothing extraordinary = I hope it won't be a total kill for Aston. Its price ranges from 25000 to 30000 euros. That's quite expensive for what it actually is, but hey. It's Aston Martin! Power, beauty, soul! ;) This is my very first video filmed in 1080p HD with my new camera (Sony HDR CX116). And I'm also using my new video-editing program (Pinnacle Studio HD - Ultimate Premium). So bear with me, I'm still trying to understand a little bit how it works and discover its many cool features! 3. its looks like a rich aston martin fan’s toy

    LOVE it!!

  4. You can now say “Shall we take the Aston?” for 30 000€

  5. At least theres a Panamera behind it to make it look decent.

  6. i like in cygnet

  7. its like a smart car and an aston martin had butt sex and this was the outcome

  8. This is the best Toyota EVER!

  9. Aston Martin’s answer to the EU’s fleet average emissions standards in 2012, the £30,000 mini-money.

  10. @zXFreeStyleXz Yep. European car companies have to meet a certain average CO2 emission standard after each year. But if a larger company which make an economical car owns another company (i.e. Fiat own Ferrari) than the owned company is excluded from doing so. However, Aston aren’t owned by anybody so they needed to make something quickly. And this was the result.

I don’t mind it though. I don’t like the looks, the name or… well, all of it, but if it allows AM to still produce the DBS’ well..

  11. why did aston have to make this car? something to do with emissions rules?

  12. i would happily own one, at the end of the day even though it is small and cheap, i would still say in a proud voice “i own an aston martin”

  13. i actually want one, lol

  14. What engine is used cygnet (2.0, 1.8) ?

  15. Lol, looks like the combination of the Toyota iQ, Smart, and Yaris.

  16. LOL this is what happened to the DBS after a crash test :P

  17. its a brilliant idea from aston martin due to they have to lower there co2 and what a brilliant way of doing it,, getting a toyota iq fit a bodykit and change the interior and put on the aston martin badge,,

what will pagani have to do to lower there co2 due to every car company in europe has to do it,,

  18. @jigo53 yes, and i thinnk its REALLY dumb. it has to comply with the whole EU i think, so other car companies have to do this, but i dont think they will

  19. Are you sure it’s an Aston Martin? Looks like something by Siemens or Hotpoint ;)

  20. LOLOL ASTON MARTIN DOWNFALL

  21. theyre making this to comply with some CO2 emission thing

it looks nice but i think its too overpriced, even with the badge

  22. @clubheadxtasy2 lol, tell me about it :)

  23. this is gonna look pretty hilarious next to the DBS

  24. guys, the reason aston martin had to make this grey fly was kind of stupid.
See, there’s a law about the ratio of the cars you make, it has to be a specific number. Volkswagen, they’re fine, even if they do own bugatti which made the 2 fastest cars in human history they go the lupos and golfs. Aston martin tho, they HAD to make this thing.

  25. it looks like a toyota iQ
