I really enjoy the car commericals of the 50′s, 60′s and early 70′s. The sent a message about carrying about others, enjoying life with family and friends. Today, at least what I take out of the car commericals is about your ego, selfish behavior, attitude. Not a valuable moral character to teach our children. So, when I see these new cars, that is the first impression I get which is linked to the commercial. I can afford a new car, but my heart is with the classics of yesterday. Be blessed.
@FresnoCrawlers “Too bad we could never get back to this level of products coming off our assembly lines. ”
I guess you missed the news of a few weeks ago where a major study showed that U.S. domestic automobiles are higher in build quality and reliability than imports.
Back in the day, when if there was something wrong with the car you could go back to the dealership and get it fixed, for free, without having to bitch about it. Back when America took responsibility for their products and it was evident in the quality and workmanship. Too bad we could never get back to this level of products coming off our assembly lines.
@Phill0046 ur blinder than ur are…look how one sided the market it is…ou rown gov is even some wat supporting imports in america and also the 2nd reason is cuz all the ppl who by imports(ok a good chuck) just buy em fro going back and forth to work cuz apearntly there good on gas?!?!
@GigaMinion Agreed, I say congrats Ford for surviving the downturn without assistance, and i say keep pressing to MOPAR and Chevy! Save the DOMESTIC MARKET!!!!!!
4 cylinder vs 8 cylinder hippity hoop la., what is it 1992 again? You idiot. Anyone can sink a huge amount of money into any engine and go race it with another meat head. There are A LOT of domestic 4 cylinders now. Do you have any real reason? If chevy is so good why does honda sell more cars?
@Phill0046 wel i honestly dont know if they really bought them out but htre are a few things tht imports still “struggle” at
engines….. i have a hand full of friends tht drive honda/mitsubishi/ and acuras. all with in 3 yrs old (so realativly brand new) and they all went threw at lest 1 engine some 2 one (honda) threw a tranmission (auto) and the acura had a firing issue my car a basic 97 v6 mustang and my dads old 92 f-150 both over 10yrs old still have orgianl engine and working perfectly
@Phill0046 imports shouldnt even compete with american cars let honda wat up acura and toyota and let chevy and for wat up each other thts the way it should be cuz everythime i see an import “compete” with domestic its 90% a inline 4 vs and 8 and they nvr let the v8 build pwr in other words a short race in were the I4 is modded heavily vs bone stock gts/cobras/corvettes/chargers and the i4′s hardly win yet…
well honestly, everyone has their own taste in color you know. The color on a vehicle only looks good depending on the shape of the vehicle.
My example is a pacifica. Compare a white pacifica to a white routan and you’d notice the routan looks much better, but does a black routan look as good or aggressive as a black pacifica?

I am not even talking about taste in color or appearance. I am talking about the actual quality of the paint and the amount of defects in it.

This all depends on a personal opinion, you know?
