Just think..American cars made by American workers using AMERICAN made parts..amazing,isn’t it?? This is when our nation led the world..what happened??
what a incredible commercial–they were very creative then-i dont think ,i enjoyed a commercial more-what about the 65 stingray–that was 50 years ahead of time–that would be priceless-i want one
I had a ’65 Impala w/ 327 small block … My 1st car ……. Damm they made good, solid cars back then …. w/o 200 Vice Presidents, million dollar bonuses, etc. … Gone are THOSE days ….
It was a wonderful time for Cars,Stars and the average persons; this was America. There will never be another time like it again. These memories both real and fabricated give us incentive to build a better future. Still today with envious eyes the rest of the world watches the innovations that are continously born in our free nation.
my dad had a 65 chevelle convertible.
he sold it in 71 for about 600 bucks.
today you couldn’t find one for less than 20 grand in so-so condition.
if you could find one.
it’s not really anyones fault, it’s not obama’s fault technology and modern design took over. saying “screw you obama” won’t do anything. so instead of writing a comment about obama rather than the commercial, you could’ve done something more productive.
Try blaming previous administrations, and congress for allowing foreign car makers for dominating our market, and giving foreign car makers the advantage here.

The 4-door pillarless ‘hardtop’ Corvair was a goodlooking car. Ashame there are no more 4-door hardtops made today. The Vette is gorgeous!
